INSTALING WINDOWS VIA NETWORK
it’s useful for installing windows on a computer without a DVD drive or without external DVD drive boot support and without USB boot support, . This method uses PXEboot .
Step 1: Preparation
- Windows 2000/XP CD (to get the i386 directory off it)
- PC running 2000/XP
- Tftp32 .exe , download here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V04T7KQ8
- smartdrv.exe, download here SMARTDRV.EXE
- pxelinux.0 memdisk menu.c32 bartdisk.IMA
Create a folder for save the Tftp32 .exe, smartdrv.exe, pxelinux.o , memdisk, menu.c32, bartdisk.IMA , create it at c:\SP2
Create folder WINXP, Copy i386 folder from Win XP and smartdrv.exe into this folder. After that share this folder
Once you’ve collected all of the above, lets begin;
- Tftp32 .exe and extract the contents
- Install TFTPD
- Click settings and match the screenshot below:
- boot PC from LAN
- select bart network disk
- select manual
- follow further instructions
- if it came to the LM host, check the command
- wait until screen blank
- on screen type ip addres server and name of the computer,like 198.168.2.100 CaLEnG
- ALT+X
- format the Disk with format C:
- after format disk, now install windows
- Q:\NET\ type NET USE X: \\CaLEnG\SP2
- X:
- SMARTDRV.EXE
- CD I386
- WNNT
- wait until the copy process is complete
- press enter, unplug the network cable ‘n installing u’r windows
